Arrangement of Room, Food, and Supervision
When you join a volunteer project in Sri Lanka, you will likely stay with a host family or at a hostel or volunteer host. Staying with a host family is a unique opportunity to become fully immersed in Sri Lankan culture and the traditional way of life there. Regardless of what type of accommodation you end up at, it will be a in a safe area, will be clean, and will have basic amenities.
Your weekly program fee includes three traditional and healthy meals a day. Sri Lankan food is very flavorful and delicious. Common staples include coconut milk, fish, rice, and curry. If you love spicy food, you are in for a real treat in Sri Lanka!
