Known for its white, sandy beaches, verdant rainforests, red-rock canyons, coral fringed tropical islands and wild rhythm filled metropolises, Brazil is the international destination of your wildest dreams.
Here are several must-see spots you aren’t going to want to miss while volunteering in Brazil:
Parque Nacional da Tijuca
The Tijuca is a 39-sq-km tropical-jungle preserve. Filled with exuberant green, beautiful trees, rushing creeks, roaring waterfalls, mountainous terrain and high peaks. A great picnic spot, serious hikers can try their luck at climbing the summit of Pico da Tijuca.
Parque Nacional da Chapada Diamantina
One of the largest national parks in Brazil, this place is home innumerable species of plants and animals, deafening waterfalls and vast, rugged plains. One can find hundreds and hundreds of miles of hiking trails within the park limits while volunteering in Brazil program.
Pão de Açúcar
Take a ride in a cable car to get a stunning birds-eye-view of the city of Rio, Corcovado Mountain, Christ the Redeemer and Copacabana beach below.
Copacabana Beach
This is one of the most famous and most beautiful beaches in the world. The atmosphere is a vibrant flurry of activity. You will get to see amped soccer player’s, tourists lining up for caipirinhas at kiosks, favelas kids and beach vendors, and countless colorful Rio characters strolling the beach.
