During your time as a volunteer in Cambodia, you will have plenty of time to explore and discover the country. Your evenings can be spent enjoying everything the capital has to offer, and your weekends are completely free to travel all across the small country.
Free Time –Phnom Penh
You will be working 5 hours a day while volunteering in Cambodia. Your free time in the morning and in the evenings can be spent exploring the capital of Phnom Penh and the surrounding area.
Our volunteer projects are located in the city of Phnom Penh. Phnom Penh is the biggest city in Cambodia and is of great cultural and historical significance. This city has plenty of monumental attractions such as temples, museums, the Royal Palace, exotic hotels, good dining facilities and a vibrant nightlife. All this and much more will certainly prove to be an inspiring experience during your free time in Cambodia volunteering opportunities.
Weekend Exploration
You will work for 5 days a week from Monday to Friday while working in our Cambodia volunteer project. Thus, you’ll have Saturday and Sunday off which can be spent going on a wide variety of tours and excursions all across the country.
There are many popular tourist attractions in Cambodia to explore and experience. It is an exciting country that showcases its past empire of temples, cultural renaissance, dazzling landscapes, exquisite cuisines and great Cambodian spirit. All these experiences gained during the weekends while volunteering in Cambodia will have a long-lasting impact on your mind and change your perspective on the world.
This monumental structure is a creative genius that is unique and splendid. It has 54 gothic towers decorated with 216 gargantuan smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara, along with more than 11,000 figures. A visit here during weekends is an inspiring experience for you while participating in volunteer Cambodia programs and will remain in your memories forever.
This Hindu temple is carved out of a pinkish hue and includes some of the finest stone carving anywhere else on Earth. Dedicated to Shiva, it is wonderfully well preserved and many of its carvings are three-dimensional and distinct. Each moment spent here during your weekend in Cambodia volunteer opportunities will be a rewarding and a memorable affair.
Banteay Chhmar is one of the most impressive temple complexes beyond the Angkor area. It presents intricate artistry of remote ruins created with excellent carvings and is a perfect place to delve into Cambodian rural life.
Beng Mealea
This is one of the most mysterious temples at Angkor and appears to be consumed by the jungle. A spectacular sight to behold, as one makes their way through chiseled sandstone blocks, long, dark chambers and between hanging vines. The temple is a special place for you to explore thoroughly during your Cambodia volunteering program which you will cherish for the rest of your life.
