You take a thrilling 30-minute flight to Lukla. Upon reaching Lukla airport, you meet your trekking guides and start a gentle ascent to Phakding above the Dudh Koshi Valley.
The trail leading to Namche takes you through the round river. Crossing the river on a high suspension bridge several times, you reach Monjo. Monjo is the entry point to the Sagarmatha National Park which was established to preserve the vulnerable peak environment. After that, you take a sharp walk to Namche.
Namche Bazaar is an ideal place for acclimatization before heading to the higher elevations. Namche is the Sherpa people’s capital and has a busy market. You can enjoy strolling around or can take a short hike up to the Everest View Hotel, from where you get to experience the great views of the surrounding mountains.
As you ascend through the forested areas, you get to experience the splendid views of the woods and landscapes. You continue ascending the to the peak side until you reach the stone gate. This stone gate was built by lamas that marks your entrance into Tyangboche (3860m).
Leaving Tyangboche, you continue walking to Cholungche, watching the deer, birds, rivers and rhododendron forests. The trail also provides you with a stunning views of the peaks, including Ama Dablam and Lhotse.
From Cholungche, you take a back country trail away from the tourist route. Walking through the small yak herder villages you reach the Ama Dablam Base Camp. The Base Camp is situated in an attractive grassy area, where you get to experience a taste of the natural wilderness.
Today you make a steep descent to Tyangboche from the Ama Dablam Base Camp, passing throough rocky dunes, moraines and streams.
Leaving Tengboche, you hike along a scenic trail towards Namche Bazaar. En route you get to visit traditional villages of Khumjung and Khunde
This is the final day of the trek. You descend down to Lukla following the lower elevation route, passing through many fascinating Sherpa hamlets.
You pack up early in the morning and take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is reserved for rest.
