Global Crossroad strives to provide safe and comfortable accommodations for all of our volunteers. While not luxurious, we can assure all of our volunteers will have their basic needs met.

There are generally two types of accommodations provided, A hostel or host family. Here is a glimpse into one of the volunteer houses in South Africa, which provides hostel-style accommodations with the basic necessity of home for volunteers from around the world.

  • Accommodates up to 30 volunteers in 5 Dorm Style Rooms which Sleep between 4-8 Individuals Each
  • On-Site, Live-In Hostel Manager
  • Fully-Equipped Kitchen
  • Communal Lounge Area with Satellite TV
  • Western Style Restrooms with 4 Showers, 3 Toilets
  • Individual Lockers for Each Volunteer
  • Pre-paid WiFi
  • All Volunteers Projects Are Within Walking Distance or A Short Taxi Ride (10-15 Mins. Max.)
  • Centrally located Near Public Transportation Routes with Supermarkets, Internet Cafés
  • Laundrettes & Restaurants and More Nearby
  • Self-Service Breakfast Served Monday-Friday, 6am-8:30am includes cereal, bread, coffee/tea, fruits and more.
  • Dinner is provided at a nearby restaurant Monday-Friday, 5:30pm-7:00pm. It is a set weekly menu with a variety of local fare. *Drinks Excluded
  • Daily Lunch & Weekend Meals Are Excluded
