Volunteer Teaching Uganda!

Are you eager to make a difference in menstrual health for women and girls in Uganda? Do you want to help promote sustainable solutions and have a meaningful impact on local communities while experiencing Uganda's vibrant culture?

Many women and girls in Uganda face challenges with menstrual hygiene due to the high costs of sanitary products and limited access in rural areas. Disposable pads are often unaffordable, leading to health issues and discomfort.

resuable pads volunteering

Additionally, there is a lack of education about menstrual hygiene and reusable pads, which contributes to stigma and complicates period management. To address these problems, it’s crucial to provide affordable reusable pads, educate the community, and foster an open and supportive environment.

Global Crossroad’s Reusable Pads Volunteer Program in Uganda focuses on improving menstrual hygiene by supplying reusable pads to women and children in need. The program includes training girls and women to make their own pads and educating them about hygiene and sanitation. Volunteers will help organize workshops, distribute pads, and promote discussions on menstrual health. By teaching tailoring skills and involving participants in pad production, the program supports long-term sustainability and works to reduce the stigma associated with menstruation.

If you are motivated to enhance menstrual health and empower women and girls in Uganda, join us in this impactful initiative. Contact Global Crossroad today to get involved and help make a positive change in the community.
