Overview of the Project

Volunteer in Argentina and work in an orphanage to provide love education and support to abandoned children who need it the most. Unfortunately, many orphanages are understaffed, lack resources and have a plethora of problems that impair efficient management of their programs.

Volunteers are desperately needed to teach basic English, organize extracurricular activities and help with a variety of tasks such as cooking and serving food to the children and assisting with basic education. Above all, volunteers offer these abandoned children the love, support and attention that they crave and deserve. As a volunteer working in an orphanage in Argentina, you can make children smile and provide them with brighter futures and greater opportunities.

Volunteer in Argentina: Project Locations and Free Time Options

Project Locations and Free Time Options in Argentina

Global Crossroad's volunteer in Argentina programs are based in and around Córdoba and Buenos Aires. Córdoba is a traveler's dream and hosts numerous exciting chances to immerse into a balance of modern-day progress, well-preserved colonial histories and culturally rich experiences. Córdoba's pulsing cultural vibe has produced a number of influential writers and its own musical style known as "El Cuarteto" (in addition to classical, jazz, rock, pop and techno). There are also many monuments, lively festivals, pleasant theaters and a pulsing nightlife. Buenos Aires on the other hand, is the "Paris" of the Americas and is where European and Latin cultures combine in harmony. Buenos Aires is known as a vibrant and fashionable city that never sleeps. Volunteers can get lost in everything the capital city has to offer such as the Japanese Gardens, La Bombonera (famous football/soccer stadium), Tigre (the second biggest delta in the world), museums and unbelievable architecture. Enjoy drinking yerba mate with friends, watching Tango and eating incredible cuisine. In addition, Tango lessons are offered to our volunteers are a uniquely Argentinean experience.

During the program, volunteers will have plenty of free time in the evenings and on weekends. We encourage volunteers to experience as much as of Argentina they can. While Global Crossroad does not specifically arrange activities during volunteer free time, our local staff can provide free advice, travel tips and assistance as you make travel arrangements in Argentina. Argentina has endless exploration opportunities. Volunteers can hike through Patagonia, sunbathe on beaches, relax in vineyards and get lost in beautiful and vibrant cities. "Travel and Leisure" Magazine voted Buenos Aires the second best city to visit in the world only second to Florence, Italy.
