Kathmandu – Chitwan – Pokhara
Global Crossroad's Cross Nepal Tour covers the three major tourist destinations of Nepal: Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan National Park. Participants begin their Nepal exploration in the city of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Valley is the capital city of Nepal and consists of three main cities of great cultural and historic interest. Pokhara is a Gateway to the world-renowned Annapurna Mountain region. An enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley, this area is often the starting point for many of Nepal's most popular trekking and rafting destinations. Chitwan National Park has long been one of the country's treasures containing numerous natural wonders.
Proposed Itinerary
Day 1: Sightseeing tour of KATHMANDU CITY
Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu will consist of visiting popular tourist destinations and various sacred places of Kathmandu Valley such as Kathmandu's Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Budhanilkantha, Pasupatinath, Bauddhanath.

Day 2: Drive to Chitwan (3 hours of white water rafting on the way)
Take an early tourist bus to Chitwan, experiencing Nepal's river rafting experience – passing by scenic hills and landscapes. The day's trip then journeys onto Mungling before continuing to Chitwan National Park (estimated 3 hour drive). Upon arrival in Chitwam the group will check-in at a lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Chitwan National Park Jungle Activities
After an early wake-up time and breakfast the group will then tour the jungle while simultaneously experiencing the unique bird species within Chitwan's National Park. After this tour, a trip via canoe awaits participants upon the Rapti and Narayani Rivers. These river waters are inhabited by carnivorous crocodiles, as well as other unique species of animals and birds. Upon return back to the camp, participants will break for lunch before voyaging through the culture-rich village of Tharu followed by dinner and an overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Chitwan National Park Jungle Activities
In the morning, participants will experience a safari though Chitwan National Park's jungles atop an elephant while simultaneously witnessing an abundance of the park's flora and fauna. Upon return to the camp and after lunch, participants can visit the park's elephant stables where the senior naturalists will provide an in-depth lecture about the behavior/life of these majestically giant, often gentle creatures.
Day 5: Drive to Pokhara
The drive to Pokhara is approximately 150km – usually taking about six (6) hours (often due in-part to the unpredictable/unfavorable road conditions. Upon arrival in Pokhara, the group will check-in to a hotel.
Day 6: Sightseeing in Pokhara
The city Pokhara boasts numerous sites of intrigue to satiate the interests of just about all those visiting. Also known as "The Gateway to the Himalayas," places of interest include Phewa Lake, Barahi Temple, Devi's Fall, and Mahendra Cave.
Day 7: Drive back to Kathmandu
Before departing for a return-trip to Kathmandu, participants are treated to an astounding sunrise view at Sarangkot.
